What is Data Analytics?

Data Analytics can be set up to record the traffic to and from your site. More specifically it can also measure the level and nature of interactions with your site. This makes it an invaluable way of ensuring you get a sound Return on Investment for all of your online marketing campaign.

Data Analysis makes use of On-Site Analytics and Off-Site Analytics. On-site analytics offers insights into the overall success of a campaign. Off-site analytics (also known as social media monitoring) examines the discussions and links to your site generated by external channels. This branch of analytics looks at what people are saying around your brand to monitor brand-marketing development.

Such forms of social media measurement won’t just concentrate on your site, they’ll take a wider (‘macro’) look at your industry to identify opportunities for product or service- development and analyse your competitors’ results.

SEO campaigns will utilise analytics to identify which search terms drive traffic to your site. Through positional reporting, analytics will also monitor the positional changes within the different search engines and see how these changes affect traffic to your site.
