Lead Success Metric

Client Need
Ditto Fabrics is a fabric supply shop based in Brighton with an ambition to become one of the best online suppliers of fabric. The current website was very poorly optimised and in need of a lot of work to generate the search positions and traffic required to achieve the objectives.
How We Transformed the Client
The original Ditto Fabrics site was custom made in ASP, resulting in all changes needing to go through a web development agency. The site was poorly built resulting in multiple technical issues from a search engine point of view. Very few product pages were indexed in Google resulting in low traffic volumes. This was largely due to issues such as image navigation, dynamic parameters within the URLs and a lack of content on the site.
The Solution
No Pork Pies began the project by identifying all of the issues within the site and working with the web developers to resolve them. Due to the poor coding quality of the site the web developers were unable to make the required changes. This resulted in the need for a tiered approach to achieve the required results within a limited budget. No Pork Pies began by optimising all the pages through on-site optimisation. This followed with content recommendations and finally consultancy around a whole new website built within an open source, search engine friendly content management system.
The Result
Following the compete rebuild of a new website Ditto Fabrics is now able to manage the whole site through their own content management system. No Pork Pies has optimised the site to target core search terms, as well as individual products, colours and fabric types. As a result Ditto Fabrics traffic has increased by a massive 371 per cent in overall traffic, 587 per cent from natural search traffic alone, and an increase in enquires from as far afield as Scotland and mainland Europe.
Client Story
Established in 1983, Gill Thornley is still as passionate today about her fabric shop as she was when she first opened. Her team of dynamic staff, all of whom are experienced dressmakers and fabric fanatics themselves, provide an enthusiastic service rarely found today in fabric stores
